Now that the water temps are dropping, I like to seriously up my liquid content to my fishing. Having a lot less food items on the spots, but something to carry my chosen liquids and attractors down to the bottom to start working there way through the water columns. Something that’s been really working well for me over recent winters is using groundbait. This takes on liquids extremely well, and also gives me the option of adding further ingredients to maximise the attraction on the spot. The mix I’m currently using with great results is, breadcrumbs, fine Vita-lac boilie crumb, sma baby formula and lashings of Vita-lac liquid food. Give it a try through the winter months and I’m sure this will help keep those bites coming during those tough conditions.
